Scott Waldman joined the company in 2006. As Chief Legal Officer, Scott is responsible for ensuring that the company’s legal strategies maximize its business objectives. Scott’s responsibilities include developing and implementing risk management programs, liaison with outside counsel and directly handling a variety of matters for the company ranging from business issues to regulatory matters to litigation. Scott also serves on the company's board of directors.
Before joining the company, Scott was in private practice for 16 years litigating commercial disputes and counseling businesses on their day-to-day operations. He was a Partner in the WolfBlock law firm (2000-2006) and prior to that was a Member of the Cozen O’Connor law firm (1991-2000). His clients included real estate brokers, builders, and Fortune 500 companies, on whose behalf he provided advice and also tried numerous cases to verdict in state and federal forums across the country. In 2014, Scott was recognized with the Philadelphia Business Journal Corporate Counsel Award.
A native of Washington, D.C., Scott earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in the History & Philosophy of Science, with a Certificate in the Social and Conceptual Foundations of Medicine, at the University of Pittsburgh (1988) and earned a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the Temple University School of Law (1991).
