Immediately after college, Katy worked in a small consulting company in Boston specializing in management ethics, environmental consulting and health NGO's. After 2 years, Katy left with one of the partners and started a new environmental consulting company in Cambridge, MA that specialized in the redevelopment of contaminated properties. Katy worked with the local, state and federal governments and the local communities to realize the highest and best re-use for the properties. Katy's family roots are in Philadelphia. Her father has been a Main Line resident all his life and has taught at University of Pennsylvania for over 40 years. Wanting to spend more time with her family, Katy moved back to Philadelphia in 1999. Katy lived for 2 years in Society Hill and enjoyed living in the heart of Philadelphia. In the Spring of 2001, Katy spent 3 months in Spain learning about the spanish culture and taking an intensive language course. Upon her return, Katy moved out to the suburbs and Wayne area itself.
