David has an extensive, dynamic, highly productive and very successful background in business and marketing that he has incorporated into his real estate career.

After 11 years in senior leadership positions in management and marketing David and his family decided to open a small business in Cape May NJ, joining his family who have lived in Cape May County for over 15 years. David is a South Jersey native who grew up visiting the Jersey Shore, now happily living his dream as a year round resident. Always very interested in Real Estate, David tells stories of how he tagged along with his dad building beach front homes in Margate and Ventnor, which is where he picked up his passion for Coastal Living and Real Estate. David acquired his Real Estate License in 2015 and hit the ground running with a very successful first 6 months, putting 2 listings under contract in less than 45 days and listing an additional property for sale.

Joining the Hugh Merkle Team from another local Real Estate company David brings his strong marketing skills and professionalism to make every transaction seamless. He will work tirelessly to ensure you get all the support you need. Working with David you will have partnered with a knowledgeable, dedicated, and trustworthy agent that has only your best interests in mind. Joining the Hugh Merkle Team was a no brainer for David, “Where else can you find a group with vast knowledge of the marketplace, combined with the results that demonstrate you're working with real experts in the field, along with a sincere personal touch? Only with the Hugh Merkle Team.”

David has now settled into “living on vacation” at the Shore. When not enjoying 7 Mile Island, and all of the outdoor activities with his son and his partner, David monitors area happenings on his various social media sites. In 2015, David co-founded Fine Fellows Creamistry, located on Beach Avenue in Cape May. David’s passion for events in the area is evident with each posting to his blog and his social media feeds, where he promotes local events, neighborhood history, food and real estate. David loves using his expertise of local living to introduce clients to the towns he loves along the South Jersey Shore.

Additional Business background:

After completing his Bachelor's Degree and graduating with honors from The American University in Washington D.C. in 2004, David joined Starbucks Coffee Company in the Philadelphia Region, acting as General Manager, Regional Marketing Specialist, and finally District Manager in just 5 short years.

Transitioning into the Sustainability world David became Director of Community Engagement with the award winning Green Tech Startup and Wall Street Journal top Clean Tech Company, RecycleBank, based in New York City. David helped manage the growth of the RecycleBank community base to over four million households throughout America during his tenure. He was integral in promoting the unique rewards program to businesses, local governments, as well as community based organizations and households in communities like Phoenix, Houston, Little Rock, Knoxville, Atlanta, Toledo, Philadelphia, and local communities like Cherry Hill and Wilmington to name a few. In every instance he successfully achieved higher recycling rates and improved customer acquisition programs, while delivering real savings to households throughout America.

After adopting his son, David decided to move closer to home to join another exciting start-up, Community Recycling, where he was Vice President of Partnerships. He led a team of salespeople nationwide in an effort to educate and inspire a new recycling effort with a focus on textile reuse. He developed programs that promoted clothing and shoe recycling intended for reuse in third world countries. In true Win Win fashion, organizations, colleges, schools, and non-profits earned rewards for their recycling efforts. David was instrumental in creating the first ever curbside clothing collection pilot program in Bucks County PA. He is proud that his team's efforts led to millions of tons of materials going to people in need versus landfills. His last stint in the sustainability and recycling world was with Waste Management of PA, where he was responsible for all of their recycling facilities in Eastern PA and Southern NJ. While at Waste Management he developed operational excellence programs that led to significant savings and efficiencies for the company that were instituted regionally.
